I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad. While the experience started off with a few disappointments, several staff members helped turn things around.
I booked a Gulf view room, which was a key reason for choosing the hotel. Unfortunately, the window was so clouded with lime scale that the view was mostly blocked—definitely not what I expected after paying a premium.
The first morning at breakfast was also underwhelming due to a rather dismissive interaction with the host, Rennisha. However, I want to sincerely thank Angelique, one of the restaurant managers, who handled the situation with care and professionalism. She made sure my next meals were excellent—both in service and food quality.
A big shout-out as well to the bar staff—Marcus, Reynold, and another team member whose name I didn’t catch. They were welcoming, skilled, and made my evenings at the hotel enjoyable with great service and cocktails.
The breakfast buffet itself was a highlight: fresh, varied, and beautifully presented.
In the end, despite a rough start, the outstanding efforts from a few team members made my stay much more enjoyable. Their dedication to guest satisfaction really stood out.
