First of all, the room was updated and modern and this is what’s shown on their website so we booked this hotel. However, we were so surprised and very disappointed about the location and property itself. This is a 4 room hotel inside a very old dilapidated building on the 4 th floor in a “not so” nice neighborhood near the train station. Our flight was delayed from California so by the time we got there, it was 8:30 in the evening. Our taxi driver dropped us off at the address and we were shocked to see the old door to a building locked. There was a tiny sign along with many other signs next to the door. Our taxi driver help led us calling the hotel and tell us to download WhatsApp to communicate with the owner to get the code, they didn’t email us nor contact us in Hotels.com for instructions for checking in. The main door to the building was shut and we had to have coins (20) to use the old elevator to 4th floor. We had to go outside to get change for coins to use elevator so we can bring up our luggage. It was such an ordeal we went through. They should communicate with all guests how to get into the building if flights get delayed and check in after 6 pm. We are seasoned travelers and we travel to all over Europe every year. It was terrible and the most unpleasant experience checking into a hotel.
