Short stay near centre Inverness.

We stayed in the B&B for just one night. The room and the bed were very good. Breakfast was very good and tastful. We could walk into town (20 minutes) and there was a parkingspot next to the B&B. Good shower, etc. A short, but very nice stay.

One of the best B&B's we ever had.

This is a top B&B to stay, every detail is in place, wonderfull people, great breakfast served with a lot of (Scottisch) style in a superb breakfast room.

Very nice B&B within walking distance of Inverness

Very nice, clean rooms. Nice hosts. Delicious breakfast. Within 15 minutes walking of Inverness city centre. Quiet neighbourhood. While the other rooms had ensuite bathrooms, we had a separate (private) bathroom, but as far as I can tell from the website, we paid the rate for a ensuite.... Also our room was the smallest. Although it was nice, we would have liked a seating area, especially since we were staying for 8 nights. Having a private bathroom nextdoor may not be as bad, but when you have to get up at night to go to the toilet, you feel like waking up the whole house, because it is almost impossible to open the doors quietly.

Alles in het hotel keurig geregeld. Zelfs stroom aansluiting naar Europees kon worden geregeld. Ontbijt goed en voldoende verzorgt.

Cozy B&B with breakfast; ticks all boxes

This was my favorite place to stay for the duration of my travels. I wanted a cozy, classic bed and breakfast experience, and this fulfilled all criteria. You are shown up to a room with nice decor and clean, updated bathrooms. Tea station in the rooms as well. The best part was the breakfast - the hosts cooked up an authentic Scottish breakfast made-to-order, and you are seated in a quaint parlor eating breakfast and looking out the window. The hosts are born and raised and happy to answer questions or make recommendations. I was most pleased with the whole experience and would like to come back in the future.

Stay spoiled by payment complication.

Pre booked and supposedly pre-paid through Hotels.com but host presented a "complication" with the pre-payment that ended up seeking cash payment, which was most inconvenient and unique experience with Hotels.com. No such experience with 7 other hotels booked at same time !!!!!

Beautiful home! We truly enjoyed our short stay here while passing through Inverness. Very clean, comfortable bed, easy access to the downtown area, and our host was super helpful in directing us where to go for a late meal when we arrived later evening:) They really do make you feel right at home, and hands down best breakfast we had on our trip! They go over and above. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Ranald and Caroline were the most excellent hosts! My brother and I stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed the coziness of their bed and breakfast. We also loved that the location was a short walk to the Inverness city center, especially enjoying all of the spring blooms. Each morning Ranald and Caroline provided a lovely breakfast with coffee and tea. They also recommended several places in and around Inverness and were so kind and personable. We really enjoyed our stay! I hope to be back again soon!!

Had the opportunity to stay a second time at the Gatehouse Guest House. Ranald and Caroline continue to impress as warm and welcoming hosts who pamper their guests. They know Inverness well and share their knowledge of local history, sites, restaurants and shops. The Gatehouse is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood just 15 minutes from the main shopping area. Comfortable, well equipped room. Generous, delicious breakfast. Beautiful grounds. Exceptional on all levels.

Staying at The Gatehouse is akin to staying in a luxury hotel but in the intimate environment of a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood. Caroline and Ranald are excellent hosts, very welcoming. My room was cozy; the bed very comfortable. The traditional Scottish breakfast was a culinary feast. I have already booked a return visit.

Real comfy!

Very friendly hosts. Met at door by Ranald who explained everything to us. Room was lovely and comfortable . We both slept very well. Breakfast in morning was spot on with all local ingredients. Will return for sure!
