I arrived the evening of September 24th.
It was not until morning that I flushed the toilet and
the toilet overflowed, evidently from a previous clog.
I shut off the valve to the toilet and put down towels to help with the resultant flooding.
I then notified the front desk, telling the woman at the desk of the issue and that it needed to be snaked. I asked if she understood. She said yes. I then assumed that it would be cleaned upon my return that evening.
When I returned, NOTHING had been done. No maintenance. No room cleaning. The bed yet unmade and the bathroom with drying towels and drying used toilet paper still on the floor. I went back to the desk and demanded a new room, to which the man at the desk provided. So, I did get another room.
The next day, I talked to the same woman that I had notified the previous day and told her of the issue. I was told that she would see about getting a discounted room rate for my troubles. Upon seeing my charge billing, it had not happened.
I am very unimpressed with the service. The previous room did not have a refrigerator although the replacement room did.
I know that Motel 6 is a budget motel offering, but even for budget minded individuals, much needs to be improved! I find little reason to make any future reservations. for fear of having a repeat experience.
