Good hotel, nice location, room are lareg, but staff not very friendly and rate overpriced for that kind of small town.
+ Bad news when you book for a rate and they apply unexpected fees and tax. I paid $30 more than the rate displayed when I booked, that's not very fair.
The NASSAU Inn is a beautiful old property restored over the years. The location is wonderful, right in the center of Princeton and right across from the University. As with any older property there are some maintenance issues but nothing major. The restaurant is full of Princeton University memorabilia and has tables that were carved in hundreds of years ago. Itâs comfortable and the food is pretty good. All in all, itâs a good place to stay for a visit to Princeton.
I love the Nassau for its location and historic charm, but my recent visit was not up to standard. The hotel room was so noisy - I was away from the elevators at least but had constant noise from neighboring rooms and doors shutting. I also had an issue with black gunk coming up through the sink twice during my stay.
Great stay at the Nassau Inn! Perfect location for walking around Princeton. Friendly, helpful staff and quiet, spacious rooms. Great history to learn about the inn as well. Be sure to check out the Yankee Doodle Tavern downstairs.
Stay for convenience, but donât lower expectations
Canât beat the convenience and the historic charm, but the lack of amenities surprised me from our stay last year. Mediocre front desk assistance, I donât care attitude. Issues with parking pass, and couldnât get out of the parking garage. The issue was resolved when I asked for a new programmed card.
This is a classic and historical place. Albert Einstein ate lunch in the tavern but also had meetings with Oppenheimer upstairs about the creation of the A bomb. Right in the middle of town it gives you location to enjoy the Princeton community and the University.
The history is amazing and the place goes back a long way. It has a Norman Rockwell original mural painted on the wall behind the bar. Really cool place to stay if you love history.
