Great location, a few minutes from the shops and pier / seafront. Clean, modern hotel with comfortable bed and great shower. Nice pub with beer garden and Marco Pierre White restaurant. Free parking
It was a hot day and I couldn't open the windows because thay were painted shut!
The receptionist did, however, give us a fan.
There was no lift.
The ceiling had been poorly repaired/re decorated.
The shower had no water pressure and probably needed de scaling.
The curtains were very good a blocking out light.
There was no outside traffic noise.
Good selection of tea and coffee. Hot chocolate would've been good.
More milk would've been better also.
Overall for the area I don't think its worth the money.
This is when you can literally see corners being cut everywhere. Itâs started with the door to our room that had a crack so wide all the light from the hall flooded in. The window was painted open, the bathroom tiling had been done so quickly all the grout was cracking, the bathroom door had a 2 inch gap underneath it and the bed moved on its coasters every time you moved. The walls were paper thin and you could literally hear every word spoken in the next room so 2 nights of the worst sleep we have ever had. It was awful. ÂŁ386 for that too
Its had a bit of a make over since its best western days but the walls are still paper thin and antiquated. Shower/bath is hot and powerful which is a start.
