Stayed 5 nights. We were the only guests ... quiet season? Nice big room, comfortable bed, good aircon. Bathroom flooded first time we used shower but staff sorted quickly. Good choice of breakfast options, but you are limited to one drink, one food choice. Most staff really good other than one girl who tried to sell to us (tours, massage, car, etc) every time we saw her ... got a bit tiring having to avoid her. Nice pool, but same rubbish around it the whole 5 days.
Hotel is 4kms from edge of town. Has free bikes and takes 15 to 25 mins to get to closest or farthest side of the old city. Ride starts thru rice fields which is quiet and lovely ... then 5mins on a busy road, then along a river path which is peacful again. Ride is flat and easy.
Nice local restaurant just around corner 3 mins walk away (Windy cafe or Gio) ... very small but great service. Also Cafe Zalo at end of main road into town very good.
We'd certainly stay again as the bike ride wasn't an issue for us, but may be for the less fit.
