Fun place to stay. Very comfortable but don't expect the normal room layout. If creaking floors bother you, ask for a room on the highest floor. The building is old with original flooring. That said, the little restaurant is superb. The cook is great and as she is the wait staff so is the staffing. There are places to sit and read or look out the windows at the views. The campus is quite lovely. It's history will interest many.
This hotel is beautiful and lovingly preserved. Every staff member we met was friendly and went out of their way to answer questions, especially about the buildingâs history. Breakfast at the Second Draft was perfect (get the iced collagen coffee!) and we really enjoyed the spa. The historical walls are literally a foot thick, so you canât hear a peep from adjacent guestsâ rooms. Thereâs even an art gallery on the third floor. Canât wait to visit again!
Visited for one night with family. Hotel was beautiful, room was spacious and clean. Had breakfast at their cafe and it was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helped in recommending places to eat for dinner.
Such a beautiful hotel! And the staff we encountered were super friendly and answered all our probing questions! Thank you Brooklyn, AnnaMaria, and the other ladies at the front desk! Very convenient, just a short walk to everything in town! Highly recommend staying here!
Overall experience was fantastic. Staff was friendly. Service was great. Room was clean & ready. Bed was very comfy.
The only complaint I have, which is super minor and obviously due to the age, is that some flooring and other surfaces are super worn. Realistically you're fine to walk around bare foot, there's just some uneven spots and the super unlikely chance you may get a splinter or hit a nail sticking up.
I travel quite a bit and usually stay at corporate run properties. This was a boutique hotel which is far better. Property and hotel are immaculate. Very well decorated and kept.
