Vacationers..be warned!
The description says the place has a kitchen which is why I switched my booking from a nearby (and bigger) hotel to this one. To my dismay, the person in charge says the kitchen is "not ready", whatever the heck that means. The worst thing is that we were allowed to check in and given the key without asking us for the payment first--in cash--something the other hotels in Morocco did. I don't think any of the staff speaks English so nobody wants to talk to me and ask me for the payment. Also, the front desk wasn't staffed all the time, so when we were set to leave at 7:30 am, nobody was there so we had to leave without anyone knowing. Then they called my companion (who speaks Arabic) to tell us that we have not paid. Why didn't they ask for it when we checked in? I thought they will just take it out of my credit card instead. Also, if someone was in the front desk they could have asked us to pay first before leaving. Worse, I asked hotels.com to call them and find out how to pay them (more than 5x) but nobody was picking up. The hotel even said I shoudl call the owner..who was in Spain! Why on Earth would I spend for an overseas call? So I asked for any other means to pay for it (they won't accept credit cards, check, etc) so perhaps remittance through Western Union. They won't give details to hotels.com so I asked for the email of the owner. I emailed a couple of times but after a week, still no response. This is so unprofessional.
