Super easy check in, once youâre checked in tho- make note of your confirmation number so you can log back in to check out! It took me about 10 mins to figure that part out⊠but itâs very very nice! 10/10 would recommend! Loved walking distance to everything and Iâm even a local! We stayed for cabin fever!!
Stayed for Valentineâs Day and it was perfect, the room was great with Great city views. The bathroom was very nice. Everything within walking distance (shopping, coffee place across the street, dinner). We had Dinner at three birds which was a 7 min walk from the room and it was absolutely amazing. Defintley plan to visit and stay again. A great experience overall!
Great place, well appointed clean room, excellent bathroom! Itâs walkable to restaurants, shopping, museums and more. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location. Good communication when we had questions. Only concern is bedding is one thin sheet with one thin bedspread. Not at all comfortable. Needs either a duvet or proper blankets. Also light from street keeps the room too light overnight in spite of blinds. Blackout blinds would be more effective. Otherwise a good and spacious, well equipped room and good value for the money.
We've never stayed in an inn quite like the Gaffer Inn. There's no sign, no real personnel connected with it, and it's kind of like staying in a Speakeasy from Prohibition Days. You can only enter during your prepaid time period with a special code. To get to your room, you have to walk up steep steps behind an unmarked door in the front or a bit scary metal steps if entering from the rear. This place is not handicapped accessible and there is no one to help you with luggage or questions or recommendations. Nevertheless, why did I give this five stars? Well, once you get to your room, it is beautiful and clean. It was like having a nice studio apartment, interestingly decorated and equipped with everything you could need. This is not the place for anyone who likes cookie-cutter hotels or needs lots of additional services or feels uncomfortable with checking in and out without human contact. But, if you like unique hotels that are walkable to many of Corning's attractions and restaurants, I highly recommend the Gaffer Inn.
This place was amazing! It was right in the center of all of the shops, restaurants, and bars in Corning. It was within walking distance to the Museum of Glass as well. The room itself was very cozy with a fireplace and leather couches. Staff at the Beer & Burgers restaurant below the room were extremely friendly and helpful when checking in. Parking was not an issue as there were plenty of spaces in the lot behind the Inn. My wife and I had a wonderful weekend there! We'll be back!
