Free cruise shuttle, cheap but run down, goodstaff
A quick one night stay before going on our cruise. We chose this hotel because they offer free shuttle to the port. You just let them know that you need a shuttle to the port, how many people, day, time, and which ship. It was really easy and they’re really close to the port, a little over a 5 min drive.
As for the hotel itself…
Pros:
- quick and easy check-in
- inexpensive
- walking distance to food, coffee, gas stations, CVS, etc.
- felt safe
- good customer service
- friendly staff
- room was clean
- free shuttle to the port
Cons:
- old and run down
- Felt like a cash cow, seems like bare minimum done on upkeep/maintenance.
- On a main/busy street so constant traffic noise. (I’m not a light sleeper, nor am I a heavy sleeper.)
Overall, the hotel itself was a no frill or thrill hotel. If your standards are low and you just need an inexpensive, clean place to sleep, this is the place. A plus is the free shuttle to the port if you’re going on a cruise.
The only other negative thing I came across during my one night stay was hearing someone making a complaint at 1am. After hours, the main reception area is locked and a side window of the reception area is used for service. My room (104) was on the ground level at the end of the ramp from the reception area side window so it was loud enough to wake me up. No yelling but the person was speaking in a loud voice. I never heard the staff person. After about 10 minutes or so, they left.
