We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The rooms didn’t feel clean, and the bathroom was full of black mold. On top of that, there was a strong sewage smell throughout the room coming from the bathroom. To their credit, when we complained, the woman at the reception kindly upgraded us to a bigger and better room, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, even that room didn’t feel fresh. As soon as the window was closed for a few minutes, a musty, stale smell filled the room, forcing us to keep the window open at all times—even at night. This was very inconvenient because the area outside was noisy and chaotic, making it hard to get any rest.
It’s clear that this hotel hasn’t been renovated in many years. Aside from the receptionist who helped us and the night guard who opened the door for us, most of the staff didn’t even greet us, leaving us with a poor impression of their customer service.
The only real positive was the location—it’s within walking distance of the city center and close to the train station. However, the area is quite rough at night, with frequent street fights and disturbances.
Overall, while the location is convenient, the lack of cleanliness, outdated facilities, and poor service make it hard to recommend this hotel.
