Hotel with a high potential, but not fully exploited at this moment. Toplocation in the old city, near the sea and harbour, with lots of nice restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood. Nice rooftopbar with swimmingpool. Openinghours swimmingpool only untill 17,00 o'clock. A shame if the temperature is 24°+, especially that the city of Nice is a nice place for city-tripping, so a nice swim in the eveninghours can be very refreshing. Hotel needs to be cleaned-up (wallpaper in the hallways was coming from the walls, paint in the room was coming of the ceiling at some places. A big whole in the ceiling of the breakfast restaurant. Incredible that they didn't covered it,....)
There was one really unacceptable thing I need to mention, because I think Direction of the hotel was not very responsible about this: It seems that the swimmingpool was repainted and the stairs were very slippery . We slipped when entering the pool and luckily we didn't fall. The second day of our 4-day stay, a man slipped and bumped his head against the side of the pool, with a big wound on his head. An doctor was called and the man needed some stitches. We made a remark towards the waiters on the fact that it was very slippery and there was no sign to mention it. They laughed and say that this already happened several times. After two days , still no sign or anti-slip on the stairs of the pool. We saw again some people who 'slipped into the pool'. For me: Very unresponsible behaviour from the hotel.
