Very smart hotel with friendly, helpful staff at reception, the bar lounge area, breakfast room and cleaning staff. As one walks into reception one is aware of a wonderful fragrance permeating the lobby, that immediately gives a feeling of wellbeing. There are lots of cosy corners in the lobby to sit in. The hotel is clean and the rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is situated in a busy area, right by Kalvin Square, which means that there is audible traffic noise and wailing ambulance and police sirens. Double windows in the rooms make it less of a problem though.
Otherwise it is near to a lot of worthy sightseeing spots. Within walking distance of the Liberty bridge, the covered market hall, and Vací utca, which is a street full of eating places and souvenir shops.
Because we had to forfeit our last breakfast, due to having to catch a very early flight, the reception staff arranged that we could collect a very nice packed breakfast from them upon checking out. Little gestures that make a good impression.
