Great place to camp out for an extended period
We stayed for a week while our house was being painted. We opted for a penthouse suite to give us the most room and it was perfect. We had our 2 cats with us and were both working from the room; having the space to spread out was ideal. (The kitties loved the open loft especially!)
The furniture and carpet are a little 'tired' and the room smelled of smoke when we first arrived (which quickly dissipated with a little Febreze). The front desk offered to move us but we'd got all our stuff in already; appreciated, nonetheless. That said, we had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning and slept very well. The entire hotel is very quiet!
The hotel management were very flexible with us when we first thought we'd only need 4 nights which then turned into 5 and then 7...and even let us check out late. Very friendly and professional. We were also impressed when they called to ask us to move our cars so their plows could completely clear the parking lot after 8" of snow followed by ice fell; most places would have just cleared the driveway only but they took extra care to clear the parking spaces and shovel/ sand the sidewalks as well.
The breakfast a nice little perk as well; nothing fancy but lots of selection and the people there were also friendly, helpful and attentive.
If we ever need to 'camp out' from our house again, we'd definitely stay again- and will certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the Salem area for an extended time.
