I'll start with the positive: we saw the ocean from the room. Unfortunately that's all that was positive.
The biggest let down with our stay was the fact that the room reeks of mold. If you have any type of allergies, or sensitive, I'd recommend staying away.
Overall the hotel was pretty worn down, the wall paper in the room was coming off the walls, the ice machine outside our room was extremely loud and the AC was extremely dirty.
Getting to the hotel is a bit inconvenient, as the street is closed and you have to pass through a narrow alleyway. Not an issue, except the valet parking that you have to use only has 1-2 spots and they're full. Meaning you block the traffic while waiting to be able to access the hotel.
Breakfast is served at the restaurant next door, took about 40 minutes for the server to take our order, and another 20 minutes before we got the food to the table. I wouldn't mind waiting for food if it was actually good food, this was anything but. Cold scrambled eggs, burnt bacon and tasteless coffee. How about the other options on the menu? There are none. You have to pay extra for those.
I really don't understand how this hotel could have gotten so many positive reviews, because frankly this is one of the worst hotels I've spent the night at.
