We were a bit disappointed about the rooms/bathrooms. For the price we paid we expected modern rooms with modern bathrooms. There is one window in the room and it barely opens so, without airco, it is hard to get some oxygen in the room.
The staff, very international, is friendly. It would be a good idea for the management to give their staff free English courses. The housekeeping ladies speak hardly any English. It is important that they speak the language of the country they are working and living in.
I asked per mail for rooms with connecting doors. We got the connecting doors but still locked. When you're tired of travelling you don't want to go back to reception and ask for somebody to open the doors. One of the rooms was a bit damp/ smelly. The showers weren't good, water temperature changed while showering.
Breakfast is just fine, maybe a bit more variation during the week would be nice.
One night we ate in the hotel, had the daily menu, food was good, but portions a bit small, bit expensive.
We would stay in this hotel again if the price fits the quality of the room/bathroom. We wouldn't score this hotel as a four star hotel. I do not want to upgrade my room, after the disappointment, to a freshly refurbished contemporary room. Yes, they do have them...but of you need to pay even more...
The 15 minute stroll into the city along the Thames is nice.
I would recommend this hotel but keep your expectations a bit lower, than we did, in relation to the price you pay...
