After checking in at 7:30pm, my partner and I went to bed early for a dive trip the next day. At 11:30pm, we were rudely awoken by a call from reception, asking who was in the room and informing us we were in the wrong room and would need to move the next day. Despite explaining we’d be gone all day, they said they would move our belongings which made us feel uncomfortable.
The disturbance ruined our sleep, and when we tried to complain the next morning and check our stuff would not be moved, no manager was available until later that day. The manager did offer a sincere apologyand after some pressing offered us 20% off the first night, but I found the compensation inadequate given the disruption.
The hotel is nice, clean and most of the staff we encountered were friendly, however our experience on the first night cast a shadow over the rest of the trip.
