The one thing that really disappointed me about this place is that their listing on Hotels.com mentions an airport shuttle, but on arrival they tell me to take a taxi, as they 'do not do airport transfers'.
As I specifically picked a non-chain hotel that -did- have an airport shuttle, this led to my stay costing USD 80 more than anticipated. The only response from the staff was weak apologies and an offer to call a taxi. After complaining online, the hotel said they might, with advance notice, call me a taxi.
Location-wise, there is a snack bar on the hotel premises, but no restaurant. The nearest shops and restaurants are a bit over half mile away.
Other than that, this place is all about sports and fitness, associated with the Cooper clinic, which is named after the same guy that invented the test of physical fitness named after him: running as fast as you can for 12 min.
In short, not good for a one night stopover at DFW, but if you have your own car, and are here for sports, it's probably exactly what you want.
