So I get there at 1230 and they said my room would be ready at 230. came back at three and the room was not ready yet and to top that off the elevator was broken. I finally got into my room at 345 and was upgraded to a nicer room. not pleased expected way more from a Hampton Inn,

Room condition was terrible: big drywall crack in ceiling, window shades inoperable, grout in floor tile crumbling, shower floor creeky, noisy AC, noisy fridge, mushy mattress, etc. Never again.

The hotel was very nice. My only comment is that when we came off the elevator the lady and her cleaning cart didnt move out of our way. I was in a walking boot so trying to maneuver around her and the cart wasn't easy. Just her having the courtesy to move a few inches forward would have helped. She looked right at us and didn't move or say anything. Also need to have an outlet on the nightstand between the beds. Having it across the room isnt helpful.

Pulled on the streetcto a dozen homeless people. Several cops hot rodding up and down the street with inder covers. 3 hotels in that cul de sac were definitely not for sleeping. My only complaint is the Maintenance man who spent a considerable amount of time in the ladies room at end of hallway on the 1st floor and didn't bother to wash his hands after handling his smelly #2 business. Then, he was later seen picking up a plastic knife from the container of knives for lodgers use in the buffet area, using the knife to adjust the temperature on the thermostat through the lockbox on the wall, and PUTTING THE KNIFE BACK INTO THE CONTAINER FOR CUSTOMER USE!! Due to no fault of the hotel, the neighborhood seemed sketchy due to the large number of loiterers/homeless persons but we didn’t have any problems; so don’t let the area deter you. Ending on a positive note: check in was fast & flawless. The front desk staff was professional, courteous, and address us by name as we came and went to/from the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, & comfortable. The hotel location is easy access on/off the interstate & there are several restaurants, convenience stores, & service stations nearby.

Under Renovation
Signs in the lobby indicated that this hotel is going to get an update, and it needs one. The bed was soft and uncomfortable and the fan on the air conditioning ran constantly in our room. It was very annoying, but at least it worked. One of the 2 elevators was out of service and the hallways had a musty odor. We would not have picked this hotel had we known the condition.

Only one of the elevators were working. Our room had a long split in the paint over the bed, and there was a hole in the sagging paint (it appeared to have been that way for a while). The bathroom door would not close. It was dragging or sagging somewhere and would not close. It also seemed to be that way for a while.
