We stayed in the Hotel Bern during our 4-day city trip to Tallinn this summer. The hotel was situated closely to the old town, so we could walk everywhere. A grocery store is across the street, which also is convenient.
The staff is friendly and speaks very good English, even the cleaning lady takes time to wish you a good day.
The rooms are spacious enough and clean. Though the colour of the curtains and furniture remind us of the seventies, it's all modern and neat. You just have to embrace cultural (colorful) difference. ;)
If there's a thing about the room we'd like to see improved, it's the bed. Not a boxspring or 4-star hotel bed, we expected.
The breakfast was very complete, like we see in most hotels: cereal, fruit, eggs, the works. It's all fresh and tasty. The staff politely waits for late customers (yes, us) to have their breakfast, while entering after closing time is not an option. The only point with the breakfast area is, that it's situated in the basement, so no daylight, just some paintings (and no landscapes either...).
