Clark Heights hotel - Attempting luxury for a budget price
Clark Heights tries to be a luxury hotel for a budget price. In some ways they succeed in doing that, in other ways they don't.
Airport pick-up, check-in and room service sandwiches were excellent.
However, I arrived 4AM and wanted to sleep until 11AM or so to start the next day somehwat rested after my flight. At 9AM an overwhelming banging noise woke me up. It appeared to be construction workers on the lower floor banging their hammers. I asked the manager to move me to another room but there would be noise there as well according to him (probably all rooms were booked). He would have the construction workers stop their work however).
The workers did not stop and after giving up on trying to sleep the shower didn't have any warm water. Warm water could be requested at reception but I didn't feel like any more hassle.
Room was nicely decorated for the price, clean on the whole although there were some fly-like bugs in the bathroom. Not sure what they were, hopefully not flees.
In the end it would be a good Delhi hotel for the price, if you're not unlucky like I was with the construction workers. If you don't want to risk that and spend about 50% more, go to the Metropolitan instead.
