Very clean. Amenities were great. The smell of the well sulfer water permeated the bathroom and did not use the shower due to this. The sound of the generator at night could be disruptive to light sleepers.
I would not recommend staying here in the winter. We couldnât get the heating system to warm the place beyond 68 degrees (what the thermostat read), it did not feel warm in the treehouse-I was uncomfortably cold. There was a separate thermostat in the bathroom that only read the temperature, didnât seem to work otherwise as we bumped up the temp on that with no results. In fact the temp read 67 when I got in the shower and 62 degrees when I got out-brrr! I think because the door was closed and there was no heat in the bathroom itself, the bathroom relies on heat from the rest of the treehouse, which doesnât get in with the door closed. There is no bathroom sink, just the mini-kitchenette sink, which had no warm water, just freezing cold water so we ended up washing our hands in the shower. And the water coming out of the kitchen faucet had a strong sulfur odor. 6-8 inches of snow fell overnight and even by 9:30 when we were leaving, no one had shoveled or cleaned snow except some plowing on the walk back to the treehouses from the parking lot. The stairs up to the treehouses and walkway connecting them should have been cleared for safety purposes-the stairs were not safe. The novelty of this place might be worth more in warmer seasons but definitely not worth the price we paid for one night in the winter. We did not use the sauna or hot tub. They were nice and preheated the tub even though we didnât request it but it didnât get warm enough for us to try it.
Beautiful setting, very nice room. A few things could have made it better: bathroom sink, larger bath towels, drinking cups other than wine glasses, table or shelf under large mirror. Bed was too low, had trouble heating the spa tub, so couldnât use. That was a disappointment. Very light inside, and we liked the shades. We are older, so it would have been nice to park under the unit and to have a shower grab bar. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, enjoyed the eco-friendliness and uniqueness. Feel it is overpriced for what we got, but would probably return.
Unique setting for a short getaway. The pros include the wood fire heated outdoor soaking tub.Took some work, but well worth it! The bathrobes provided were luxurious. Stove cooktop within unit also a bonus as was cookware/utensils. Drip coffee carafe took a video to figure out!
Some cons to be worked out. An outdoor seating area by unit door would be nice. Or a seating area within unit. There was no place to sit and eat without going up and down stairs. More towel hooks needed within unit.
Overall fun experience!
