Room was old but clean. Heater didn't work properly. Cold air was coming in from around the door where you could see through (needed weather striping).
The room looks like it is in the middle of a remodel that they abandoned. There isnât a doorknob that latches, if you do not engage the deadbolt the door just opens. It did not feel safe. Because of this the door doesnât really seal properly so the cold comes in and so does the exhaust from other guests when they decide to warm up their trucks. Felt unsafe but had no other options available in town.
The toilet didnât flush properly and to get to my room and check in I had to call a number to have the attendant come. It was very cold and waiting was not nice. No clear direction to get to my room and when I asked about parking she wished me good luck
The day i made the reservation the card wouldnt go through. Tried to call the hotel to resolve multiple times but got no answer. Made other arrangements through expedia.
Pretty dumpy place. No key card. Simply hand you a actual key. Go in room and shut door. No door weather seal. What appeared to be mold/ mildew in corner of door area. Bed is comparable to what a few layers of cardboard on the floor would feel like. Keep smelling mildew throughout the night in my cpap mask. Was supposed to stay a second night. I left the 1st morning with a terrible headache and sinuses flaring up from likely the mold/ mildew. Still not feeling well today and had to throw out my cpap mask, hose and change the filters in it to get rid of the odor. The rest of the room appeared clean. Have pictures and tried to add them but unable to get them uploaded.
The door to our room didn't fit and there was a 1/4 in. gap all around it.
We had to turn on the antique cooler to quell all the noise outside-- a kid bouncing the basketball for hours on end and kids screaming around. The pipe under the sink leaked and splashed down on our feet whenever we turned the sink on. The toilet paper holder was so old it was falling apart and the toilet paper kept falling on the ground. The whole place was dirty and we felt like we were living in a ghetto. The mattress on the bed was the only thing that was decent (amazingly enough). We would have chosen another hotel but it was labor day weekend and everything else was filled up, I had to get the manager at 12:00 a.m. to tell the people next door to be quiet as the people were having an argument. (The walls are paper thin.) The picture in the ad is deceiving. The people running the place were not professional in the least and looked like they came from the dumps. The office windows and everything was dirty and unkept. Hate to paint such a poor picture but I wish someone had been honest enough to put out the truth before we made arrangements. I tried other towns but they were full also. This area is a big one for hunting and four wheeling plus there were two bicycle competitions going on for high schools in the state and another.
The bed was tilted down at the head. We slept with pillows at the foot of the bed. The A/C blew the curtains open when on. The card lock was not operational so theyâve reverted to door keys. The wall sconces didnât plug in so non working lights. No bugs thankfully. Needs a complete overhaul. Would not stay here or recommend.
The beds are very old and uncomfortable. Lots of noise and the rooms need to be fixed and updated. The toilet in our room would not stop running. We stayed here a few years ago and it was in better condition then.
