The resort had a wide variety of food and activities for both the youth as well as the adults. The staff was AMAZING!!!! From check-in to the fun squad to the servers, everyone was amazing.
My husband and I stayed at the hotel. The spaciousness of the hotel is added plus. The welcome area is really a welcome area. The lightning, the coffeeshop are carefully positioned in the reception area.
Hotel Riu really captured the essence of the country that they are located. The Jamaican food was a huge plus. Overall, the buffet style (only ate at the buffet) was superb. Everything that my heart desired was there. I even put in a special request for fish with less salt.
The WiFi was strong so I was able to do my work.
The entertainment was good.
We had to change the first room because it smelled musky and just horrible. We were relocated to the 9th floor. Overall, a good stay.
This hotel has everything you need and want from an all inclusive resort. We were a family of 4 (two teens) and we fit comfortably in a room w a king size bed and a pull out couch. The rooms are a very nice size. We were on the 4th fl and had a great view. Food was great w plenty of options. The specialty restaurants were just ok. The service, the people were so nice n helpful always. The entertainment was fire!! That team is so great! I highly recommend this resort. I couldnât have asked for a better place to stay.
Room service was the basic items so do get up and explore the amazing cuisines the buffets or restaurants has to offer. Staff was amazing at all venues and the rooms were well kept.
From drop off I only used my hands to eat and to hold a glass to drink. This was a beautiful resort. The Michael Jackson performance was VERY good! Rooster was very entertaining! Would definitely visit again. Resort is smaller but I still enjoyed myself. I did not like there was a certain person I had to book a tour through.
Eleven of us stayed at the Riu Aquarelle for 4 nights for a family vacation.
The pros: Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. The maid service was great as well as the mini bar service. The splash pad was great for the little kids ages 1-7. The Italian Restaurant was good. The breakfast buffet was good. Be careful on the big slides at the water park. My son got a deep bruise on his heel; so keep your feet up. The entertainment at the family pool every afternoon was fun.
Now the cons: The beach was not great. It was windy and red flag every day we were there, so no water sports. When you enter the water, it is very rocky and one in our group stepped on a sea urchin so be careful. The food at all the restaurants was mediocre with the exception of the Italian one, which was better. Group reservations were terrible, They never even answered my message from Wednesday morning about a group reservation for Thursday night. The Cappachino bar doesnât open until 10am, which is crazy! The Elevators are overcrowded and hard to catch at times. The other thing is that the wine is not very good, and even at the nice restaurants there is no opportunity to purchase better bottles. In addition, at the Steakhouse restaurant, we were only allowed to order one side each. Thatâs not what I would consider âall-inclusive.â My husband ordered his ribeye medium rare and it came out well done.
Weâve been to Jamaica 13 times. This was our first & last time at a Riu.
The resort overall is spectacular!
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
The cleaning staff and landscapers should get extra credit, they are the unsung heros that keep the resort spotless.
The food was great.
My family and i really enjoyed our stay.
Thank you.
