The hallways and entrances smelled strongly like weed all the time, everyday. The sliding glass door to the balcony would not open, the chair had a broken leg, the water had a brown tint to it, breakfast was minimal. Needs updating. Location is great, being so close to A.T., Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive.
The hotel is actually two hotels Quality Inn and Econo Lodge managed out of the same front desk. The Econo Lodge building is not as nice as Quality Inn. As soon as we walked into the Econo Lodge building it reeked of marijuana, I felt like I was walking into a stonerâs den. The building backs up to the bottom of a hill that someone could walk up to your room window undetected, I did not feel secure. On a positive note, the breakfast was good.
This hotel is in a more rundown area. It smelled of weed, mildew and cigarettes. The lock on the door was barely hanging on and there was a junction box on the floor for the air unit that was uncovered and a screw was barely touching the wall. The shower curtain rod had previously been ripped off the wall and was crooked. The carpet was ripped, chairs were shredded from pets, Iâm assuming. The tv was the size of a computer monitor. I will say that it appeared to be clean in the bathroom and the bed was also. Most hotels were booked so we gave it a try. I will never stay at this establishment again.
Was in need of a update. Missing floor tiles in bathroom, older tv etc. When i went for breakfast was out of eggs, waffle mix and they jad gravy for buiscuts and gravy but no buiscuts
Strange setup. Two hotels, one registration that was hard to find. Receptionist certainly was less than friendly. No handicapped parking at EconoLodge, and could not park at the room door as I requested. Parking was limited, not easy for handicapped entrance at a main door. My handicapped room was great.
The Econo Lodge was run down, poor carpeting, smoky smell, very small room with poor condition chair and people sitting at front door in their car arguing. The manager did allow us to change to a room at Quality Inn on the same property. The room was clean, in good condition and larger. I would rate our stay at this facility as 4/5.
It was actually nice, especially for the price! Seriously, great. Only thing is that there were indeed sometimes shady people outside. You can hear them talking loudly, rarely but it did happen. One time even one of the staff members said I should wait a moment before I had headed outside to my car because someone was outside. Besides that, it was nice and cheat and had breakfast and close to a lot of stuff!
The area is nice. The hotel is old with funny smell. The bed was terrible and only 2 flat pillows. There was no one to come ask if more towels was needed or to make bed. The cable was out and couldn't even watch TV. Will NOT stay here ever again.
Waynesboro impressed me more than I expected. For a basic city in the heart of the Shenandoah there is a lot of hidden gems to discover. The Econo lodge is nothing to write home about but I found it to be well worth the cost. The room was exceptionally clean (for a budget hotel), breakfast was continental, and the bed was comfy⊠everything you can ask for at $60/night.
