We stayed for one week at the Sunset Beach Club. We had a room without any sunlight or a view. Our children slept in the bedroom and we had the sofa. Even with the new mattress they brought it was terrible to sleep on it. Both our backs still hurts. Cleaning in the room could better (eventhrough it was clean in the rest of the hotel). Only the first day 1 small set of badgel, shampoo and bodymilk. The animation started way to late for children (disco 21.00h, beauty and the beast show from 22.30h) and is inside. Our room was situated at the same level with entrance in the central hall with some icecream and softdrinkmachines ..I don 't have to explain what that means for the noise. The hotel is full of irish people and some english , I didn't met another dutch family. You have to pay extra for the childrenclub and the gym and overall the prices in the supermarket and at the bar are expensive (a simple icecream starts with 2,95 euro). The swimmingpools are nice, diner is ok and stuff is friendly. If we would have paid less we shouldn't complain but we never paid this much for an hotel and this is absolutely no 4 *. Before our stay in this hotel we travelled around in Andalusia and stayed in different better and cheaper hotels. Benalmadena is about sun, beach, restaurants, bars, nice harbour. Nothing more, nothing less. The real Spain you will find in the cities of Andalusia.
