Rude staff
Receptionists all extremely rude and unhelpful. We booked a sea view room and our room just had a view of the children’s slide. (See photo) People queuing to go on the slide would stare right in our room. When I questioned whether it was a sea view room they said yes you can see the sea if you look. I asked if we could move to a quieter room or if I could pay more to upgrade the room. The receptionist said they were fully booked and we couldn’t move. I looked on the website and there were rooms available but the receptionist wouldn’t even look. I asked information about the Covid testing and the next receptionist again was very dismissive and unhelpful. The food was good and lots of vegetarian options which was great. You had to go early however because it got incredibly busy. I was shocked that very few people were wearing masks. Even staff had them on only some of the time and they were worn on their chins. Two staff were lovely - the person making pancakes on the beach bar and the barman in the main bar. All the other staff were rude and surly. I thought they would have been happy for the business after Covid but seemed annoyed at being asked for drinks or assistance. People would get up at 7 am to reserve pool beds by putting towels over them and then going so none were available. We booked a 6 night stay and could not reserve a table in the restaurants once which was disappointing. Overall not value for money and staff need training in customer service.
