This would have been an amazing hotel 30 years ago but is in desperate need of £5m spending on it. Staff were all very pleasant, rooms very tired, no heating so had a plug in radiator. Beds were terrible. Location and outer building both great

The bed was terrible and the spring was almost out and had big dip in it too stains on all the lampshade and curtains and marks on the wall and ceilings

Noise outside. They were removing glass bottles late at night and started moving the bins and talking loudly amongst themselves at 05:00 AM!
Room was very comfortable but the noise really impacted my sleep.

Great location right opposite the castle and near lots of pubs and restaurants. Good value for money. Clean room and good size.
No tea bags in the room and there was quite a lot of noise outside my window until 3am but it is the centre of town and it was a Saturday night so to be expected.
