A heads up: Motel 1 = Motel X (they are currently in a process of name changing and not all the signs and such have been adjusted yet at August 2014). +++ We stayed overnight on our journey home coming from Norway. We arrived late (23:30 hrs) due to a delay with the ferry. For entering the motel, we needed to use the creditcard which was used for making the reservation. No personnel seemed to be present. The room itself was small, but for us this wasn't a problem. The bed was ok; there even was a third bed (high sleeper) available. The bathroom was a prebuild (plastics?) unit, but it was clean, well maintained and functional. During the breakfast the following morning, no other guests were present at first and personnel was nowhere to be found. The breakfast itself was decent though, altho I'm not such a fan of having to boil your own eggs with an unfamiliar egg boiler without decent instructions. The hotel is fairly new and has been styled in a sleek manner, with lots of white. With the absence of others, this struck us as being a bit cold or unpersonal (the latter of which is a rather objective statement, judging by the absence of personnel at visible areas). However, if you -like us- are just passing through and in need of a bed, shower and breakfast and no more, then this motel is a decent choice. Just make sure to enter with the proper mindset; if you're expecting a bar with a lot of people or a cosy room to relax, best look a bit further.
