The chalet dilapidated.It smelled musty/damp therefore we had to leave the fan on in the bathroom or leave the door open. there were fluff cobwebs on the ceiling in the singles room. I booked this property with free wifi as I needed to keep intouch with my family abroad and my daughter and husband had to work online. There was NO free wifi after contacting the site office I was told to call the internet provider myself. I had no choice but to pay for the wifi as after daily phone calls to the site office and 3rd parties (Hotels.com & Sykes Cottages) who managed the property were not sorting it out. The booking was mis-sold and no one took ownership of the error. I was promised a refund for the wifi...I'm still waiting. The lamp in the lounge was propped up by the tub chair. The 2 seater sofa had a rip and was sunken therefore we had to use the pillows to sit comfortably. The swimming pool was closed and so were the other facilities. By the looks of it they were being refurbished but this was not communicated prior to our arrival. We decided to leave earlier as we had had enough. I travelled from Italy last minute to be with my daughter and husband for our birthdays therefore did not research the property but never will I stay here again and this has taught me to read all the reviews prior to book anywhere in the future. The local area itself is just breathtaking and if you want to relax, the local area has it all.
