difficult access particularly if one has luggages to take care off. Breakfast is very poor by all standard eg cold tea,no coffee, lack of choice, empty food trays took a while to replenish, staff service leave a lot to desire
The price is reasonable, the location is convenience. The quality is acceptable. It makes you feel comfortable that you wont miss the flight, it is walkable to the airport.
I didn't expect much prior to arrival considering it is only an airport hotel. I arrived late at night from Bangkok and all I needed was a place to rest. The hotel is just a short 10 minutes leisure walk away but i chose to be picked up as i have quite a few heavy bags. I called the hotel and minutes later, a Mercedes mini van arrived, along with the porter, talk about service with style and smooth as silk! The lobby is typical chinese hotel type yet bright and clean. The check-in was standard affair yet speedy. the room was surprisingly clean and well appointed with almost everything a traveler needs. the bed is comfortable if not a bit firm but aren't they all in china or Asia? the linens are of very good quality as well as the towels in the bathroom which is pleasantly unexpected for this kind of seemingly low budget establishment. the only thing one might moan about is the dimmed lightings in the bathroom, ladies, bring a torch for your makeup applying, lol! Breakfast was included but it stops at 9 am which was far too early for me to check it out. There is a night market 15 minutes walk away from the hotel, a very interesting outing if cheap and cheerful street foods are your thing. The hotel also provides shuttle services to the airport regularly through out the day. overall, it is an excellent choice for a brief stopover and despite some minor issues, a decent hotel which is actually better than many big boys on the block.
I wish hotels in China would not provide ashtrays. It is absolutely disgusting to have dozens of people smoking indoors especially when the windows do not open.
Ok hotel if proximity to airport is essential. 300 meter from hotel to airport terminal, 150 meter to metro station. 45 minutes with metro into downtown Shenzhen. Nice and clean rooms with free internet access. Free shuttle service to airport terminal. Only Chinese food in the hotel restaurant. Nice personnel but few English speaking in the reception.
We arrived at 1 am and slept at 3 am. At 0545, the workers knocked the door and awakened us. They said they wanted to check the room. Please ask them why they would like to check the room at that early hours and disturbed their guests!
the stuff do not speak english. when i checked out - they asked me to pay ALL the room charge. i showed my booking that says it paid in full, but they insist that i will pay. (all this in chinese & writing in english from the computer) i was kept there for 40 min. & then they said that they made a mistake & it all paid.... very bad situation when no one can talk to u in english!!! never again
So stimmt dann Preis-Leistung doch....
This hotel was very close to airport about 5 minutes away by taxi, but was very far from town. You would need taxi to get around. When first arriving to hotel, the rooms were clean, service was ok. It was cold at night, mattress was a bit uncomfortable and hard to sleep on and there was no heating. Staff were quite friendly and were trying to be helpful, but often misunderstood and were often confused. The breakfast was awful, raw eggs and their tea tasted bad, which came from their sewage water; after breakfast I would pop into the room to make my own tea made from bottled water. their noodles were very salty which were served with the raw eggs; no I do not recommend the breakfast. I was surprised to learn that they do not know what is bread which should normally go with eggs? The hotel was far away from shops. The only shops near were at the airport which were very expensive. I would recommend this hotel for very short stay only, there is nothing near by for entertainment or enjoyment. So, for short stay I would rate this hotel 3/5 just to be fare. But not recommended for long stay.
The location is amazing - just 3 minute walk from the metro station at the airport. Simply follow signs for the metro from the airport, walk the covered walkway that crosses the road and exit the covered area before you get to the metro station. The hotel is 2 min walk from there. It has "airport hotel" written in English on red neon lights at the top. For some reason the hotel actual name in English is "Sunrise Prosperous Airport Hotel".
The room we got - a standard twin - was very spacious and modern. It felt more like a 4-star hotel room. The only but is that even is the room is non smoking it does smell of cigarette.
Wifi internet available at the lobby area. Fast and reliable. A good restaurant with English menu.
If we need to get another early flight from the airport, we will definitely stay here again.
The room seemed to be newly renovated but obviously they didn't pay any attention to the bathroom drainage system. After just a few minutes of shower, the entire bathroom was literally flooded! Only then I realised the drain was clogged - as it was already very late at night I didn't request for a room change. But it caused a lot of inconvenience.
Location wise, it's very convenient as the hotel is walkable distance from the airport and a metro station. But if I had a choice I would definitely avoid staying at this hotel again.
