While I understood that we weren't going to a major tourist attraction like Disney World or the Gulf Coast in Florida, I still thought maybe this place would have been updated in the last 20 years or so?? We took our 2 young grandsons to Holiday World for 2 days which required a 2-night stay, and we thought staying close to the park would be best as our grandsons are little. The beds were very uncomfortable, the pillows (2/bed) were only big enough for a 3-year-old, the room smelled musty and old, the carpet felt gross to walk on barefooted, the shower head felt like it removed 3 layers of skin with each shower, walls and ceiling were so thin you could hear every movement from other occupants....
While I can appreciate the nostalgia of the decor of the lobby, I don't understand why the rooms haven't been somewhat updated at all. We definitely won't be staying there again.
