In the past we always stayed in the Pulitzer Hotel, but this time we tried something else. We were not disappointed.
If you want to explore Amsterdam, and use a clean, tidy, reasonably new, good value apartment as your base, then this one is the right choice for you. On arrival, very friendly attentive receptionists explain everything you need to know and make you feel welcome. Complimentary coffee (wide selection), tea, fruit, cakes, rolls, croissants, etc. is present in the reception area during the whole day, so if you want to have a snack you don't have to go outside.
Good size apartment for Amsterdam. We could easily have stayed for months, as it has all the facilities we require (spacious double bedroom with plenty of storage space, very clean bathroom, good size lounge/dining with open kitchen, big screen TV, audio system, fully stocked kitchen with full size fridge). We recommend going for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea (appeltaart!) in the best no-nonsense restauant/cafe of Amsterdam 'Koffiehuis De Hoek' (one block over - corner Prinsengracht & Reestraat), run by Harry. We first visited this place 17 years ago, and have returned every visit to Amsterdam since. And for diner, try a burger from Burgerlijk (Runstraat), for us the best burgers we ever had anywhere in the world.
