After an overnight flight, was able to check into the hotel a few hours early to shower and take a nap. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating.
The room was small, but clean and nice. Kind of an odd configuration and the air conditioner didn't get the room very cold. Bathroom was clean, but had a weird sink that splashed water everywhere when the faucet was turned on. Bed was very comfortable.
The neighborhood had a number of restaurants and bars to choose from - the food being good at many of the places. From the hotel, you can walk pretty much anywhere in the main, downtown area. Just know at some point, you'll be walking uphill - A LOT. Tip: downloading the free Rick Steves Lisbon audio walk will end very close to this hotel.
While the hotel is decent, the area is very noisy. You will hear screaming, talking, fighting, hooting and hollering after 1am until about 4am as the bars empty out. Additionally, you will hear clear conversation from the patrons eating and drinking at the restaurants outside of the hotel. I now understand why such a centrally located hotel had such a bargain price. If you want quiet, look elsewhere.
