A hotel that makes you want to go home
- Photos online are deceiving: the place is horrendous!;
- Severely outdated, overpriced, worn out, dirty and in dire need of maintenance;
- Room was not clean;
- Shower didn’t work: either no warm water or water squirting out of the handle/hose;
- Made us forget we were on holiday!;
- Room had layers of dust on furniture upon entering;
- The lock of our door did not work properly;
- Toilets were leaking;
- There was lizard poop on the walls (surprisingly not cleaned by housekeeping);
- WiFi was a complete disaster and will test your patience and anger-management;
+ The view of the ocean is great and the location, on the direct doorstep of the beach, couldn't be better.
It’s probably good to know for Western tourists that the large majority of the guests at Glory Beach are devoted Muslims. That means swimming is done discretely covered, even by most men. Walking around in a bikini will make you feel out of place and will probably raise an eyebrow or two, despite the fact that the guests are in general extremely kind and a bit more open minded than you might expect.
