Nice room, hard bed and mediocre breakfast
The room was nice and we were looking forward to a good nights rest after a long drive however there were a few small dents around the room, stains on the bathroom floor the bed was rock hard, my partner and I struggled to fall asleep not only from the bed but from the light from the corridor glaring into the room from under the door we had to place a towel across to block it out. The included breakfast the next morning was underwhelming, cold and rubbery (we went down at 8:45am) very little options beside a fry up, three fruit, some yoghurt and dried toppings- if your veggie then you have eggs and one type of sausage as an option, the dinning experience felt very lacklustre. Checkout was 10:30 on a Sunday felt a little to early which after the terrible night sleep we had with the bad bed we both wanted to sleep a little more before a busy day ahead. Both worried about driving back due to how tiered we both feel, would hope for the price we paid for the second highest room to have a comfy bed and maybe a decent breakfast. The grounds and staff are lovely though and they made our stay memorable
