We stayed four nights in the hotel. The room is ok though quite old, the room was not what I call clean and the smell is a mix of cold tobacco and mold. What really bothered us during our stay was the noise in the hotel (we were on ground floor), door clacking all the time, people calling for hours on speaker (even at 3am), cleaning ladies speaking loud early in the morning with talkie walkies... We bought ear plugs, still not enough. The hotel is quite well located, near restaurants and forbidden city.
The location is great. Definitely worth waking up early to walk around the hutongs nearby before dawnâhighlight of our trip. The building is older and is due for an update, but is very clean and warm. I believe our room was upgraded from a double to a double deluxe room, which was very spacious.
Setback:
1. Lack of English. Hard to communicate with them.
2. Toilet was dirty with stains on the wall. No bottled water given.
Overall, the stay was ok. Quite easy to find the hotel as it is located along main road. Walked to the hotel from Qianmen MRT station.
The hotel is right across Qianmen shopping street and just a few blocks away from Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. Location is really perfect. It is very near the Subway as well. Qianmen Station line 2. Just don't expect that much on service and facility of the hotel as it is a little bit old. The Internet is fast.
