This was my first experience at a hostel, and it made me start thinking about my next one! This dive hostel is located perfectly, literally one block away from the ferry dock, 2 minutes walking distance. It is in the center of town, with many restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping options nearby.
The hostel itself met the expectations. It was obviously remodeled recently. Everything is in good state. The floors are nice tile, and it seems like it was painted not long ago. The common area is large, they had a hammock, some couches, some bean bags and a dinning table for everyone to use.
They had nice music playing most of the time, and the staff was attentive to play music we liked or turn it down ect. when we wanted to. They also had a TV playing dive videos.
The rooms are just as advertised. You get a clean bed, they all seemed to have privacy curtains, and each had an outlet where you could charge your electronics. There was a locker inside the room in which to store valuables. My luggage was too large to fit, but i did not worry about theft. Each person got a key to the room, and the front desk staff was attentive to who was on the premise. Some random tourists wandered in mistakenly, and staff was quick to address them.
The showers and restrooms are co-ed. There were 6 shower heads available, 4 toilets and 4 sinks. This seemed to be sufficient for the amount of people at this hostel. I never had to wait in line for any of these, and warm water was always available
