The hotel was ok for one night. It needs a bit of maintenance e.g. the hairdryer was wired into a power point that was hanging out loose. It is close to shops and food and walkable distance to the Mevlana museum. Breakfast was nice.
I would like to say that based on the comments I expected worse, but actually the place is very good. The staff is very nice, the room is clean (it might need more deep cleaning like the lamps) but based on what the cost is, it's good bargain. The only thing that might be considered a negative to some people is the smell of smoke, but that's just the culture in TĂŒrkiye, smoking is everywhere you go. I would definitely recommend Nil Otel if you're staying in Konya for short time.
The hotel's greatest asset is the helpfulness of the people at reception. I was a little apprehensive when I read the comments, but my experience was positive. The room is a little basic but very good for a short stay. I don't know if I don't have a good sense of smell, but the smell of cigarettes, although slightly perceptible when you walk into the building, is in no way disturbing. If you're too picky, don't go, but if you want a comfortable place at a low price, this is for you.
Can gĂŒvenliÄi açısından bakım onarım Ćart!
Gayet merkezi bir konuma sahip! Resepsiyondaki arkadaĆ Ă§ok kibar ama otelin genel durumu yani temizlik, hijyen ve bakımı açıdan aynı Ćeyi söyleyemicem. Kesinlikle bakım, onarım ve tadilat gerekiyor. Bu Ćekilde saÄlık ve can gĂŒvenliÄi açısından Ćartlar uygun deÄil malesef. Banyo içi metaller kĂŒflĂŒ, paslı. Prizler yerinden çıkmıĆ. Su temas etmesi halinde konaklayan için hayati risk taĆır. ĂarĆaflar vs yırtık, pırtık.
Other than breakfast that was OK the rest was total disaster. Smoke odor was so bad we could barely handle it thru the night. Honestly, I gave up on the cost and looked for another hotel room nearby but unfortunately it was too late too find anything. Lesson learned: always look for number of reviewers. 4.1 Star from 2 reviewers only means "Go with your own risk".
