I desperately wanted to love our stay at the property as we visited many years ago on a day pass and it was beautiful. We are empathetic and understanding of the fact that the hurricane damaged the property. Outside of the absolutely gorgeous view by the pool and beach, this property is lacking what we were looking for. We did not purchase all inclusive (thank god), the food and drink options were minimal and subpar quality. Most of the resort is shut down and there are many electrical hazards all over the property. When we visited the Prop Club we were the only two people there. It was sad, apocalyptic. Lack of entertainment - we found overselves leaving the resort constantly for food and something to do. The worst was the room. We had to empty a dehumidifier several times a day. Another electrical hazard, an improperly rated light fixture above the shower. The room smelled of must and mildew and the bed and pillows were hard as a rock. I honestly couldn't wait to leave. Some of the workers (our bellman and concierge) were wonderful, others seemed annoyed to serve us. I highly suggest you heed caution when reading 10 star reviews on this site or otherwise. The pictures online are very misleading and dont depict current conditions or availability of activities and food. I hope the resort can turn it around when they are purchased by a new owner, so much opportunity here.
Great stop over spot for our bone fishing trip. While hotel is dated, the pool and beach are wonderful, both made up for any dated accommodations. Wish there were more nice food choices but Flying Fish was a nice close by restaurant.
This was my 2nd time staying at this property, but this time the location is showing a bit of its age. The staff were just as friendly as I remember, so I am glad that didnât change.
My room had several issues, all resolved.
- the towels were musty, like they had been in the room too long
- the lampshade was broken
- the A/C didnât work, and it took 3 days to fix
I opted to not purchase the âall inclusiveâ package this time around, as I wanted to explore food options off site. Was a great decision on my part.
My door would close , I had roaches in my room and someone came to spray while we were in the room sleeping . Security was hostile . It was the worst trip of my life
This is a very old property in need of renovation. The staff is nice. It was clean. There is nothing to do. The pool had worms and a snake, along with bird feathers. The pool closed at 5pm. There were about 50 guest at the hotel. Everything is Expensive due to low guest turnout. I will not stay at this property again.
Weâve stayed in a few properties in Freeport. Theyâre all a bit rough, this is one of the nicer ones though. Itâs showing some wear and tear, but the beach and pool area are as good as you can get for Freeport. Itâs a nice place and weâd stay there again certainly. Family trip with two kids under 4.
