YOU & YOUR THINGS ARE NOT SAFE AT HERON HOTEL!!
A male member of staff let himself into my room with the pass card. I was in bed at the time. There was nowhere to lock your things in the room, so if I wasn’t in, I’m sure he would have helped himself to them. The female manager and male receptionist laughed in my face when I went down shaking from the experience. As a woman travelling alone I felt completely unsafe and at risk. When I complained to Hotels.com they equated my safety to a $5 voucher to use with them. I will NEVER book with them again. Apparently when they spoke to Heron Hotel, they denied it happened - even though I recorded the conversation - and they refused a refund, meaning I had to spend a horrible night at the hotel before I could leave the next day. The picture shows what I had to do to remotely try and protect myself and my belongings that night. It also took 4 room changes to get a room with hot water the night I checked in. Completely unacceptable, disgusting, disgraceful behaviour
