Just because it's new doesn't mean it's good
Pro: I was refunded 3/5 of my money. Con: everything else.
Last minute, we changed our booking from a boring hotel to this new one thinking it must be nice since it's only a few years old. I booked the accessible room as I have mobility issues. We arrived around 7pm, waiting 15 minutes to check in, struggled to find parking (there is no valet either) dropped off our bags at our room, and went to dinner. When returning, we noticed how filthy our room was and also that it had quite a few construction issues. There were several massive gaps in the flooring that are a huge trip hazard for someone with mobility issues, and the closet in the bedroom blocks the door when it's open which is most of the time since it doesn't close properly unless you stand up and use two hands to carefully close it (the wall where it closes is all torn up from people not being able to close it). The trim and baseboards aren't even lined up, let alone mitered, but they sure are dirty. There was a nasty red smear on the bedroom door jamb and what looked like a cloud of filth on the wall in the bathroom, and I took photos but cleaned these things up with Clorox wipes. Crumbs all over the couch and floors, then a dirty towel for the shower. The concrete and lack of color and decor made the room feel like a cell rather than a hotel room. I called down for luggage racks too and was told there were none. I truly do not understand how this is a 4-star hotel.
