I am blown away by the personalized welcome to this beautiful spectacular property. Every detail and welcoming to Sorrento was perfection. Unfortunately not what I expected
Let’s start with the fact that this is not really a hotel at all but rather someone’s home with virtually 1 service staff. The hostess was a very nice lady. However, there was no breakfast to speak of. You got crackers with Marmelade, and days old fruit (that looks and feels it) and no savory options at all. The property is quite maximalist in style meaning that the rooms are filled with things (and unfortunately are very dusty). The worsen the matter, I chose a room with a terrace which furnished but the furniture extremely dusty. To our surprise, we found some woman standing on our terrace having a smoke. Super uncomfortable given its direct by our room. Then there’s the issue of the AC which will keep you up at night as it sounds like a Traktor and will make loud knocking noises every 10 min. Last but not least, parking is an huge mess!! There’s a very narrow entry to the inner courtyard. One spot belongs the other renters in the building and one to this “hotel”. I had to move my car 2x (in myb3 day stay) in order for people to be able to get in or out. Not what I imagined and surely shouldn’t be charged for. I’m super disappointed and would not stay here again :(

Melania was very responsive to our questions and needs. The junior suite was well appointed and had everything we needed. It had the charm of being in one of the more established buildings and due to it being behind the main road leading to Piazza Tasso, it was nice and quiet.

Palazzo Spasiano was a lovely hotel to stay at! It was very clean, comfortable, and had many amenities. Melania was very welcoming and was so helpful our entire stay with any questions that we had, as well as providing information and help with restaurants, transportation, and activities around the city. The hotel was in a convenient location to explore Sorrento. We really enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend staying at Palazzo Spasiano when you’re in Sorrento!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Spasiano! Our room was just as advertised. It was VERY neat and clean. Melania, the host, was awesome! She was there at her desk everyday, eager to help. When we arrived, she met us outside, grabbed a suitcase in each hand and darted up the stairs. She helped us and other guests coordinate trains, dining, shopping, and ferry times. She made us amazing sunset reservations as well. You don’t get this at every property! For breakfast, she has an expresso/cappuccino machine as well as an assortment of fresh croissants waiting for her guests every morning. The property is only a 5 min walk from the train station and SUPER convenient to dining and shopping on Corso Italia, the main road through town. It’s only a few yards to the taxi stand at Piazza Tasso (although I recommend walking in Sorrento due to taxi prices). The marinas, ferry, and beaches are a 15-20 min walk but not a problem. You will ENJOY strolling around Sorrento. It’s very lively at night and many of the shops are even open until 10:30. Don’t hesitate to walk. This property met all my expectations and more. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Melania for your kindness and hospitality!! :)

We stayed 5 nights at the Palazzo Spasiano in May 2023. The hotel is in a great spot in Sorrento, close to everything. Complimentary snacks and coffee replenished every day. The room was fantastic and our favorite out of three hotels we stayed at around Italy. The best part was the service provided by Melania, the hostess. She really mad our stay in Sorrento. She arranged a private transfer to Bomerano to start the Path of the Gods hike. And when our ferry from Positano back to Sorrento was cancelled, she arranged a ride back. We also encountered a rail strike on our last day, so she helped with transportation to Naples. Melania also arranged a full day small group tour of Capri which was another highlight of our stay in Sorrento. I think you'll enjoy the Palazzo Spasiano in Sorrento.

Boutique and very Chic
Perfectly placed at the edge of the centre square, this small boutique hotel is everything you need for a short stay in Sorrento. Set at the back of a gated courtyard, a few steps to climb to get to the Hotel entrance. We were given keys to all the gates and doors and went about very freely We stayed in the Junior suite, which was very clean, lovely decor and good a size. Mini bar and snacks were refilled daily Melania and Alessandro are very helpful and are there when you need them, but never in your face and we were left to enjoy our stay, without any fuss. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel

Convenient Location & Clean
My daughter and I stayed three nights at this accommodation and the host, Melania, was wonderful. This is not a hotel, it is a privately owned small upper floor property with a living room and three rented rooms. The information we received referred to a "B&B" so we thought breakfast was included but there was no breakfast. We were busy doing tours and grabbed breakfast at a coffee shop a few doors down every morning. Breakfast was included in all of our other accommodations during the trip so this was somewhat disappointing. This stay was in the middle of our two week tour of Italy and based on the description of "laundry facilities" listed we planned to do our laundry. There is no laundry facility but Melania did our laundry for us for 55Euros which was a reasonable price. We would have preferred to do our own and not be without our clothes/pajamas for a night but it was very kind and helpful of her to do this. There are two steep flights of outdoor stairs to access the apartment so this room is not suitable for those who cannot or do not want to manage many, many steps. Melania met us upon arrival and carried our luggage up the stairs and we carried them down ourselves upon check out. Overall, for the price we paid during off season this was a very nice and clean accommodation. It was made better by the lovely hostess but I would recommend that they update the listing to be clear about the breakfast, lack of laundry facilities and stairs to access the apartment.

The best in Sorrento
The best! Palazzo Spasiano was clean, inviting and perfectly located in Sorrento. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted. The property is secured with a key-entry iron gate. The staff, Melania and Anna were welcoming and extremely helpful. With only three suites, the ambiance was homey and comfortable. Lots of stairs to get to the rooms but well worth it.

If I could give Melania x10 5 star reviews I would. She is so lovely, everything was in excellent condition, she was so accommodating and went out of her way for my stay. She organised airport transfers for me, gave me recommendations on where to eat and where to go to the beach. She went over and above to make my stay welcoming to the point I cancelled my flight and accommodation in my next destination, so I could stay another night there! This was equivalent to a 5 star hotel - the property and the service. Location is perfect! You’re footsteps away from everything. I can’t recommend this property enough and I am so glad I stayed here for my first time in Italy - a stay I will never forget thanks to Melania. I would recommend her and the property for a personalised and unique experience in Sorrento - one you would never get at a hotel.

Great Experience
Room was immaculate clean, spacious and only a short 5-10 minute walk to everything you need in Sorrento (i.e. Train, bus, ferry boat, restaurants and entertainment). Melania is a fantastic and caring host that makes everything to make your stay perfect. Great suggestions on places to visit and even organized in advance our transfer from Naples to Sorrento. In all, a great place to stay and have as base if you are traveling the amalfi coast.
