The only con I have, is them not letting me win the game of Exploding Kittens (3 times in a row).
In a time you have to stay at home in lockdown because of a virus, spending the night in a hotel instead of in my own safe bed, is not something I wanted to do. Not even when I got to sleep in a kingsize bed, get to shower with a massage stand and can have dinners brought right to my door. But due to circumstances, I had no choice but to stay somewhere else for a few nights: and I could not have been more lucky than ending up here.
Besides the lovely room, a free early check-in, all my coffees made with little hearts in them, great dinners, lunches off the menu, free excess to the (amazing) meetingroom so I could keep up with work, great advice on wine - and getting to drink that wine before it miraculously disappeared from my bill - the most exclusive thing about this hotel is its staff.
The big amount of their warm smiles and genuine friendly conversations, was even more comforting than their bigger army of handsanitizer.
So a huge thanks to Elly, Aaron, Diego and João. Because practicing hospitality is something I think an employee can learn, but making someone feel safe and less lonely during a world pandemic requires some hell of good people.
