A simple little four bedroom family inn made from a converted grand apartment overlooking the famed
Ponte Sisto footbridge over River Tiber, right next to the Fountain of Ponte Sisto with its markets and street musicians; also right next to the vibrant restaurant and cafe scene of Trastevere. Perfectly located if you want to be easy walking distance from many of the main sites and in the hubbub of the tourist scene.
The hotel is lovely and clean and surprisingly quiet given its location in the heart of things and directly next to a significant road along the river (which makes it very easy to get a taxi, which can sometimes be a challenge in Rome). The rooms come equipped with Nespresso machines with unlimited capsules, which is important for those who need cup of coffee in their veins before they can face the world in the morning.
A note: the building has one of those old style cage elevators that were retrofitted into the middle of this spiral staircase, and if any of its six internal or external doors are not properly closed, the elevator will not move; which means if the person who use the elevator just before you fails to close all 6 doors properly, you will be walking the three flights of stairs, rather than enjoying the elevator (the in owners should probably take more care to show guests how to use the elevator properly).
