The room seemed very clean, a bit dated, especially the bathroom. The beds were comfortable, there is no duvet, just a sheet to cover yourself with.
There was shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion in the room. A little fridge and some cups, no kettle or coffee machine. There is a very strong ‘no cooking’ rule in the rooms. There is morning coffee in the registration area, as well as hot and cold water.
We were able to park right outside our room. There were 3 steps down from the parking lot to the rooms.
We got dinner in the saloon right on site - the food was great and the setting was just right after a day in Death Valley.
There is a general store opposite (on the other side of the road), it’s very well stocked with many souvenirs , basic food, snacks and drinks, but pretty pricey for souvenirs ($35 for basic t shirts).
We went to the sand dunes for sunset - I highly recommend!
I would stay here again if I was to come back to Death Valley - the location is great and the hotel had everything we needed (except for a kettle in the room)!
