The hotel was excellent and a perfect location if you’re going to slack plaza or anywhere downtown. It was reasonably priced and the staff was great! They also have a standard noon checkout which has become harder to find these days when it used to be standard everywhere. I will be back for City Center Dead next year for sure! Thanks!

The staff was wonderful and the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was less than stellar. No coffee when I got there, and no cups. Very little eggs and sausage left and no biscuits. It was all replenished before I left but it was too late for me. Oh, and no butter. Underwhelming.

We like the hotel and have stayed there before it’s in a good place except for the homeless cap beside it made me and my wife nervous she won’t stay there again until the city does something. It’s sad because it’s walking distance to a lot of restaurants and the hospital and baseball field.

The hotel is an older building, but is very conveniently located in Charleston West Virginia. The rooms are very clean. The front desk staff are wonderful and the morning breakfast is better than any other hotel I’ve ever stayed and that’s a no joke.

I felt very unsafe here. I arrived after dark, and there was a disheveled looking person standing in front of the front door, and didn't move to let me in. I went back to my car, and several homeless people walked by and stopped and stared at me. After about 10minutes, the person finally moved away from the front door. Room was clean, vending machine was out of water

Clean. Pretty Spartan. It got the job done and they actually had a decent breakfast. Would stop again if I ever pass through this area in the future.

We did have a clean & comfortable room as well as a quiet evening to sleep. However, the numerous homeless people across the street made for an uncomfortable walk to eateries as well as concern for our vehicle in parking lot. Don’t expect to use the pool… looks like a war zone.

The building as a whole was dirty, our room was clean for the most part. But the phone and A/C were both broken, shower head was messed up, one of the hand towels had makeup on it, I’m guessing from a previous guest, and there was a broken handle on one of the drawers. Other than that, decent place to stay, as long as you don’t mind being cursed at by 12 homeless people as you are walking around property

--Bad area of town --hallway smelled weird all the time -- housekeeping just got done with the room but floors filthy (beds got dirty after we walked on the floor --beds were comfortable, pillows fine. --AC worked --friendly staff

We stayed here because it was inexpensive. We got a flat tire during our trip and had to wait until the next morning for our new tire to arrive. The hotel suited our purpose, but it’s not someplace I would choose to stay under normal circumstances.

Looked ok by the photos but upon arriving, the location of this hotel was super sketchy, homeless people everywhere outside and did not feel safe for my family to stay at. Luckily Expedia was kind enough to help us cancel our reservation here and stay somewhere else!

The air conditioning whistled all night. Room was nice and clean but the hotel entrance was scary. They need to spend time and money on a better entrance to the hotel. It was like we were going in the backdoor.

Glad we were only there one night. Bathroom shower was not clean at all. Couldn’t make a coffee in the room because coffee maker was dirty. Surrounding area outside was not well maintained nor aesthetically pleasing.

Staff was kind and efficient at check in. Hotel was clean and a good location for our needs. The view leaves a bit to be desired, but it's a busy city.
