This is a Catfish Hotel if I have ever seen one! It’s a Super 8 with wood print sticker on concrete slab floors, cinder block walls (except for the fun little accent wall with wallpaper they feature in their slides), and concrete slab ceilings too. To their credit, there’s subway tile and modern hardware in the bathroom, but low water pressure so good luck washing your hands or your hair! The rain shower head is a cute idea, but the shower curtain isn’t meant for the space (guys, there’s clearly a track for a glass wall. What happened here) and the water goes all over the floor anyway. Oh! And don’t forget the folded up wad of paper and floss between the tension curtain rod and the shower tile. Can’t let that tile job get ruined!
The power went out on a windless, cloudless sunny day. Make that make sense.
Oh god, and the freeway noise. It’s so loud, even over the constant AC fan, that you aren’t sleeping well.
For added safety and security, don’t forget to hitch your hip into the door so it fully engages in the frame and you can lock the deadbolt properly. There isn’t a second door lock, so sleep tight!
