I arrived at the property and was unable to gain access via the intercom or the phone number listed in the confirmation email and on the Hotels.com website. I waited outside for around 20–30 minutes before being let in by someone who happened to be entering the building. Once inside, I was unsure where to go as my app hadn’t been set up correctly. I eventually found an office with two staff members and asked for assistance. The listing did not clearly state that this is shared accommodation, with communal kitchen facilities and other occupants, more like a hostel. This was not suitable for the nature of my trip, and had I known, I would not have booked. In addition, the room itself had several issues: there was a constant noise from the air conditioning unit that could not be turned off, and the window blinds were poorly fitted with no curtains provided, making it difficult to block out light and get a proper night’s rest, I was also told by several taxi drivers the area wasn’t a nice area to be in. Due to these issues and the misleading listing, I was forced to book another hotel for several nights at additional personal cost.

I paid roughly $300+ for a property that was filthy, was a shared space with men, and also was given only one bed when I paid for two (which was not disclosed), the fob rarely worked and who had no one on sight. I have tried to get my money back, even if only partial but they have not responded to me or Expedia. I WILL NEVER EVER use the property and will actually be filing a fraud claim through my bank. I will say the folks cleaning downstairs were nice.

Terrible and irresponsible staff. I was sent instructions that on arrival you will receive a digital key in JustIn app, when I arrived it was late hours and followed every instruction but couldn’t find any key. I had to stay outside for hours till 1 a.m in the morning in total unsafe environment and my phone battery dead, couldn’t even had other options to got to at such late hour. I had to then sleep on the couch, there was not a single person responding, tried tens of different numbers. Then in the morning a person came and gave me physical keys, I went to my work meetings and again when I came back tired, my keys were not functioning. I had to sit on the floor for several hours and call tens of different people each one saying I am not responsible, I should call that person, expedia or third party etc. I made video and send it to them/emailed, then they send another key after several hours. The place is literally like a bank locker, have three different heavy doors with digital locks. It gave me a terrible time, thinking I might be locked again and there will be no one responding again. The place doesn’t even have someone there at the reception to talk to and they don’t pick up the phone either. I almost missed important meetings, was sleep tired and had a terrible experience. Please don’t book it unless they address the key issues, apparently people before me had similar issues and I read it after getting stuck in their mess.

What an horror story! I landed at 9:22PM and arrived at this residence around 11PM; there was no way for me to get inside of the building... Earlier in the morning, I reached out to this residence and advised that the application (I was asked to download) did NOT work because [apparently] my phone number wasn't registered. Some one texted me about a lockbox that would on-site with my key... There was no lockbox on-site. I ended reaching out to Expedia and was credited for this big inconvenience. I was left outside from 11PM to 2AM when I finally booked another hotel. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. EXPEDIA NEEDS TO REMOVE THIS RESIDENCE AS WELL.

I had a terrible experience with this property and strongly advise others to be cautious. Prior to arrival, we were told to use a "smart door lock" at the gate to access the building, but there was no smart lock in sight. Instead, there was a directory screen that required a unit number we were never given. We immediately called the number provided by the property and received no answer. We then contacted Expedia customer service, who also tried calling and got no response. Eventually, we received a vague text asking if we had downloaded an app to get in. There was absolutely no mention of an app in the check-in instructions. By this point, we had been stranded outside the property with our luggage for nearly an hour tired, frustrated, and without any support. Only after all this time did we get another text asking if we were still outside, saying that staff was there to help. By then we had already left to get help for a last minute booking at another hotel. The entire process was annoying: poor communication, missing or misleading instructions, and unhelpful staff. We ended up having to find alternative accommodation. This was a total waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

Pleasantly surprised, unsure at first

I had a great stay overall! Communication started about 24 hours before check-in, which included instructions and a note that I’d receive a link to the JustIN app for entry. Unfortunately, I never received the app, which made me very anxious/nervous about getting into the property. Thankfully, there was a responsive property manager (via text) on site who provided me with a physical key fob and room key, so I didn't end up needing the app at all. The property itself is clean, modern, and spacious. My room had a private bathroom, which was a nice touch, but it's worth noting that not all rooms have this—so double-check if that’s important to you. The shared kitchen and living areas were tidy and well-maintained, and the location felt safe with easy access to excellent Latin food nearby (highly recommend Pollo Express!). It’s also not too far from downtown Chicago—Uber rides were typically 10–15 minutes. Overall, a simple, clean, and pleasant stay. While there was a hiccup with the entry process, it was quickly resolved and didn’t affect my experience in the end.

Had a horrible experience here and it came down to two things. It was extremely hard to get into this property. Before arrival, someone had sent an email with a link to an app I could download on my phone that would have a key to enter the building. However, they had not set that up prior to my arrival. To set it up, I had to wait over 40 min outside the building with multiple unsuccessful attempts to call them and no answer. Finally someone shows up and directs me to a different room where they supposedly activated my key, however it kept not working. The lady that came to show me how it works also could not get it to work on my phone but she provided no solution for that. The second reason for the bad experience was that I was not aware it was a shared bathroom. Nowhere in the mobile app listing did it state it would be a shared bathroom. I have provided some screenshots and it doesn’t say anything about a shared bathroom. Ultimately we did not end up sleeping one night here and had to book another hotel last minute in Chicago at a really expensive rate. On top of this, I was refused a refund even though we did not sleep here a single night. Spend more money and get a better place. This place is not worth it, don’t ruin your trip.

There were some small balls of hair and dust on the floor in the room, and it was a little confusing at first how to get into the building/room and out with the phone app, but otherwise it was excellent! The apartment seemed pretty modern and well-maintained, I used the gym at one point, and it was a great location! Definitely worth the money.

I contacted the property via Hotels.com site to let them know my arrival time. Instructions on the site was that the property was supposed to send me a link to register and then send me access details to the building. That never happened. I called, left messages, sent several emails and they didn't respond until the day before my arrival - they had asked for my mobile number so that they can link it to an key application, which I had emailed to them. They NEVER responded until well AFTER my arrival time and by then, I had to book another hotel. Hotels.com need to do a better job vetting these private properties. This was completely unacceptable! I had to book last minute and ended up spending triple the amount!
